Who can receive care at the School Based Health Center?
Any child or staff member who desires healthcare services can receive care at the School Based Health Center. Even if your child has a primary care provider, he/she can receive immediate and on-site medical and mental/behavioral health care at school, in South Central Primary Care's on-campus facilities. Our school based health center makes receiving healthcare as simple as walking down the hall.
Parental Permission Required
Parents/Guardians will have the option to sign a permission form at the beginning of each school year stating that their child can receive treatment at the school-based health center. Consent can be provided on a visit-by-visit basis. Our school-based health center will work hard to keep parents informed about their children's health. Parents may participate in their child's appointments via phone, email, computer, or in person, if the parent desires. Between appointments, our staff will follow up with parents and guardians in a range of ways, including written letters, phone calls, notes or via secure patient portals. Our health centers will only provide care to children with their parent's/guardian's permission.
